ARIELAriel has been suffering an unknown allergen, that we have been testing her for months. She is currently on monthly cyptopoint injections, only able to eat specail wild kangaroo meat dog food (which is very expensive), as every other protein makes her break our in terrible hives and sores. She has been in our care since last summer, and out vets have been baffled about why and how she continues to break out. This sweet girl has lived her entire 8 years of live miserable, uncomfortable and in pain. She is scheduled to meet with specialist to help pinpoint what is causing her skin issues. All we want for her is to finally be healthy and happy!Help ARIEL today!

Blaine... was saved from the kill shelter along with his 3 siblings when he was just 6 weeks old. We quickly discovered that Blaine had a large mass that was growing in size as time passed. We had him seen by our vet who said it was a hernia, and he would require surgery to repair the hernia. When he went to his referral surgery appointment, lab work has to be done to ensure the dog is healthy enough to have surgery. Unfortunately we discovered Blaine was extremely anemic, his six weeks life before he came to us, were filled with lack of proper nutrients, had flea and tick infestation, and filled with worms. Which coupled together, caused Blaines anemia.
Blaine had to go on supplements, multiple rounds of worming, and many trips to the vet for retests for his labs. We took Blaine to a 4th vet, and we learned he had a grade 4 heart murmur, and the vet beleived the hernia was worse than originally expected. They did not feel comfortable doing the surgery. and referred us to University of Tennessee to have an echocardiogram done. Blaine is currently awaiting this appointment. He is currently 12 weeks old, all 3 of his siblings have found loving FURever homes. Blaine is still fighting to live, and hopefully one day soon, find a home of his own. Please consider donating to Blaines Cuddly Campaign below, or donate directly to us for Blaines vet care, you can donate directly at the top of this page. - Thank you! on behalf of Blaine! |

Paws Rescue League Inc. is a non profit canine rescue, that is run by volunteers and is foster based. We are not a large rescue, we do not have the funding, sponsorships or backing that many rescues have. The rescue was founded by 3 women who really wanted to make a difference. With over 12 years of rescue volunteer work between the 3 of them. We were tired of working for rescues that were only catering to puppies, or the fully vetted, very easily adoptable dogs. Leaving the older dogs sitting alone in the shelters, or worse... being euthanized for space. We get it, puppies are easy to adopt and get adopted quickly, and saving a fully vetted dog, saves the rescue money. What rescue wouldn't want that? We understand, but we just couldn't sit by and watch the rescues we worked for continue to look past the seniors, or the "Pit mix", or the 3 year old who needs an amputation. These dogs end up on the euthanasia list when no one adopts them, and a rescue doesn't save them. We want to be the voice for these dogs... and all dogs. Each dog deserves to understand love, and to live a happy life. None of them asked to be here. The least we can do is try our best to educate communities about the extreme importance of spaying and neutering, and save the dogs who are hoping someone will let them out of the scary kennel and take them home.
The founders and many of our volunteers donate their time, money, and items to help pay for the care of the dogs that we save, and make sure they have everything they need. These dogs deserve to be saved and to live a long, happy, and healthy life with a family. Paws strives to find the best family for each dog that we save. We thoroughly screen all of our adopters and fosters, so we can be sure we are placing our dogs in wonderful homes that match their needs. We are passionate about what we do, we love our dogs, and our community! We greatly appreciate any and all forms of donations!
Thank you so much for supporting us! We couldn't do what we do with out the help and support form our community, volunteers and fosters! We thank you all for being a part of Paws Rescue League Family!
