Nugget, a playful and adorable puppy, began vomiting on Friday, November 1st, and his dedicated foster mom quickly noticed his bloated belly and discomfort. Despite receiving meticulous care, fluids, and love over the weekend, Nugget's condition didn't improve. On Monday, a urgent vet visit revealed a life-threatening intestinal obstruction. Overnight IV fluids were administered to help pass the obstruction. Unfortunately, the x-ray on Tuesday morning showed no progress. Nugget will undergo exploratory surgery and will need all the positive thoughts you can give. Nugget's foster mom's swift action and advocacy ensured timely medical intervention.
Update: Nugget is happily recovering at home with his foster family! His vet bills have reached $7,000, and we gratefully appreciate any donation to support his recovery. Every contribution helps us continue saving lives of dogs in need. Your support and generosity are invaluable!

Ariel, a loving 8-year-old dog, has spent her entire life plagued by debilitating allergies, leaving her miserable, uncomfortable, and in pain. Despite months of testing, the specific allergen remains unknown. To manage her condition, Ariel relies on monthly Cytopoint injections and a specialized diet of wild kangaroo meat dog food, which is extremely expensive. Every other protein triggers severe hives and painful sores, baffling our veterinarians. Determined to find relief, Ariel is scheduled to meet with a specialist to pinpoint the root cause of her skin issues. Our heartfelt wish is for Ariel to finally experience a life free from discomfort and filled with happiness and health.

Baby Blaine, a resilient puppy, was rescued from a kill shelter at just six weeks old, along with his three siblings. Initially, a large mass was discovered, diagnosed as a hernia requiring surgery. However, pre-surgical lab work revealed alarming health issues, including severe anemia, flea and tick infestation, worms, and malnutrition. Blaine underwent intensive treatment, including supplements, multiple worming rounds, and frequent vet visits. A fourth vet consultation uncovered a Grade 4 heart murmur, and the hernia was deemed more severe than initially thought, making surgery too risky. Now, at 12 weeks old, Blaine awaits an echocardiogram appointment at the University of Tennessee, fighting for his life. His siblings have found forever homes, and with your support, Blaine can thrive too. |
