Dogs available for Foster to Adopt
These dogs are available for our foster to adopt program. We take pride in the fact that we
try very hard to ensure our dogs are going into the best fitting home for them, and our adopters
are happy, and adopt a dog that fits in their home/lifestyle.
What is fostering to adopt?
You pick a dog that you have interest in adopting. If that dog is currently available, the dog will stay with you, in your home for the next week. While the dog adjusts to your home life and gets to know you, you will need to provide, love, care, food and a safe place for the dog you are fostering. Fostering to adopt a dog you are able to get a better feel, to see if this is the right dog for you. All approved foster to adopt applicants must sign a foster agreement, that states you are fostering a dog, for Paws Rescue League Inc. and you do not own the dog, or have any rights over the dog. You must follow the foster agreement. Please ensure that if you choose foster to adopt that you read the Foster Agreement.
Which dogs are available in our foster to adopt program?
All of the dogs on this page, are available to foster to adopt. We do NOT allow foster to adopt with puppies, under the age of 6 months. If you are interested in adopting a young puppy please apply on the adoptable dog tab.
How long is the foster to adopt program?
It depends on the dog you are fostering...
Some of our dogs are highly desirable, and would fit well in almost any home. We ask that if you choose foster to adopt, that you let us know right away when you have made the decision to either adopt or not adopt your foster. You do not need to wait until the foster to adopt time is up. We ask this, because we have many applicants in line for our available dogs. If a dog is in a foster to adopt for a week, and the family fostering decides against adopting, that dog may loose out on the perfect home. So we ask, that once you KNOW it is a good fit, or NOT a good fit, please let us know, so we can move forward with either finalizing your adoption or going to the next person in line. Your coordinator will let you know what the foster to adopt period is before you get your dog.
For our dogs who are special, have some quirks, or dogs who may need more time to adjust, and/or are in need of a special type of home, we may extend the foster to adopt time frame, and work with you to ensure we are supporting you, and helping you through the process. We want to set our dogs and adopters up for success, We truly only want what is best for each of our dogs, and strive to match each adopter with a dog that fits their personality, home and life.
